I'm so grateful to spend so many of these small, nameless moments with the love of my life and best friend @banessaloya. I love this time of year for many reasons but a big one is that it’s a great opportunity to reflect on what’s truly important. Vanessa and I are slowing down a bit and enjoying our first holiday season as husband and wife. This a photo of us when we picked out our Christmas tree! Hope you all are enjoying the season with the ones you love :)🎄

Don't wait for someone to save you. Save yourself instead. Rather than searching for the person of your dreams, focus on becoming the person of your dreams and you'll be more likely to find the right person.

Get on the same wavelength of the thing you want to attract. You want love? Learn to love yourself. You want companionship? Become your own best friend. Match the frequency of your desires in order to manifest them in your life.

When you focus your energy on becoming the best version of yourself, the rest will eventually work itself out. What’s your opinion on this?

What excites you and scares you at the same time? Go do that.

People often assume their excitement needs to be in the form of some grand idea or life passion. It DOES NOT. Here’s are four simple steps you can take:

1. Start by getting in touch with the small, everyday things that spark your interest or pique your curiosity. Paint a picture. Go for a walk. Listen to a podcast you’re interested in. Just make sure to separate “distractions” from what genuinely excites you.

2. Take action on those things to the fullest extent that you can.

3. Once you can no longer take action on a particular thing, look for the next thing that genuinely excites you and take action on that.

4. Repeat this process ad infinitum. You’ll likely find that it leads to some exciting outcomes.

One of my favorite principles in Stoic philosophy. This idea is that the less you need, the freer you are. This is not a scarcity mindset, but a position of power. It's okay to want more but it’s problematic when you start to NEED more.

“Detachment is not that you should own nothing, but that nothing should own you.”

Book: Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations

One of my favorite quotes by @jonathanfields from his book “How to Live a Good Life.” It was awesome having Jonathan on my podcast recently. Check out his episode at the link in my bio. We talk about his philosophy on doing meaningful work, the value of psychological frameworks, what he’s up to over at @goodlifeproject, and more. Hope you find value! #ThinkGrowPodcast
