It's easy to continually distract yourself with bigger goals, but it can be difficult to appreciate your life as it is right now. Don't fall into the trap of never being satisfied with what you have.
This is an easy trap to fall into because for 99% of the time humans have existed on earth, being happy or content meant increased exposure to danger or death. We had to stay on our toes just to survive. And even though we're not being chased by saber tooth tigers anymore, that part of our brain hasn't changed much.
Here’s a simple way to appreciate your life more: Instead of dwelling on what you don’t have, think of how you would feel feel if you lost what you do have.
